The March Needle Minder of the Month Club shipment has arrived. It's a quilt design called Stitched Starburst to celebrate National Quilting Month. The color palette is very pretty and perfect for Spring.
The Flamingo Toes Needle Minder of the Month Club kit for February has arrived. It's called Tweet Hearts, a cute image of two birds atop a teacup.
The size of the cross stitch pattern is 55w x 55h. The embroidery design is to be stitched on a 10" square of fabric in a 6" embroidery hoop. The DMC floss colors are 347, 413, 760, and 3713. Below is a few more pics of the goodies!
My first finished knit project of the year is this hat using the bamboo stitch. I had never heard of this stitch and when I came across this video by Jacq Knits, I had to give it a try.
It is an easy pattern to follow and memorize and of course the video tutorial with additional tips is a bonus! I cast on the hat in the largest size, in mid-December, and knit on it intermittently, finishing it a few weeks ago. Tools and supplies:
